Website Called italki and It Actually Made Sense

Last week, I was randomly searching online and came across a website called italki.

To be honest, I didn’t pay much attention at first. There are so many websites that promise to help people learn English or other languages that they all start to look the same.

But after spending a little time on the platform, I realized it works differently.

One thing I’ve noticed is that many people spend months learning a language but still feel nervous when they have to speak. They know grammar rules. They know vocabulary. Yet when a real conversation starts, they don’t know what to say.

I have seen this happen with friends who wanted to improve their English for jobs and interviews. They watched videos every day but rarely spoke with anyone.

italki seems to solve that problem.

What caught my attention was the variety of people using it.

I liked the fact that nobody is forced into the same learning path. Everyone can choose a teacher based on their own budget, schedule, and goals.

These days, communication skills matter more than ever. Whether someone wants a better job, freelance clients, or opportunities outside their country, speaking confidently can make a huge difference.

Of course, no website can magically make someone fluent overnight. Learning any language still takes effort. You have to practice, make mistakes, and keep going even when it feels uncomfortable.

Still, after looking around the platform, I understood why so many people recommend it.
